MABIKAs Foundation, The Philippine Cordillera Connection in the Netherlands, is happy and grateful to have presented and represented the indigenous people from the Philippine Cordillera region during the 50th anniversary celebration of the Nederlands Centrum voor Inheemse Volken (NCIV, Netherlands Center for Indigenous People) held on September 15, 2019 at Volkenkunde Museum in Leiden.

It is so heartwarming to see the interest and participation from the international community in the Netherlands. To see them join us and dance to the tune of live gongs is simply priceless. Our presentation may not have been that perfect… but thankfully it wasn’t about perfection. It’s really more about connection!

CONNECTING PEOPLE, CONNECTING CULTURES, CONNECTING LIVES!

For this video, MABIKAs Foundation would like to give SPECIAL CREDITS & GRATITUDE to the following.

+ To NCIV for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this momentous celebration, bringing together different indigenous communities from all over the world.

+To the performers and committed volunteers and pioneers at MABIKAs Foundation: Renijune Abaya, Andrei Angnged, Janet Barcena, Yvonne Belen, Myra Colis, Teresa Kitongan, Aurora Pascual, Heide Marcelo-Heidenberg, Cesar Taguba, and Ilian Taguba.
